| Hondata modifies standard
OBD I Honda ECUs, adding features and expanding the capabilities of the ECU
(to read boost for example). For best results naturally aspirated ECUs
should be tuned to each individual engine setup and forced induction
ECUs need to be tuned by an experienced tuner. If you have Stage 4
and the Pocket Programmer , you can tune stages 2 and 3 for others.
When purchasing a Hondata unit, we offer a base program to get you
started. From there we offer tuning services to help you get the most
performance out of your Hondata unit based on individual applications.
Dyno tuning is also available.
Hondata systems:
- s100 - this is the entry level system for users who do not wish to
tune their vehicle, and don't require additional features such as 3 step
rev limiter or datalogging.
- s200 - this system allows either a Hondata dealer or the user to tune
their vehicle, and offers additional features such as launch control and
datalogging.
- Stage 2/3/4 - the stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4 systems are the
traditional Hondata systems. It is recommended to use the s100 or s200
unless the ECU requires the use of the Stage 2/3/4 system (PR3, PW0 or
automatic ECUs require the Stage 2/3/4).
Each system has a variety of configurations, options and features, some
of which are specified when purchasing the unit, others which may be added
