Hondata

 

Hondata modifies standard OBD I Honda ECUs, adding features and expanding the capabilities of the ECU (to read boost for example).  For best results naturally aspirated ECUs should be tuned to each individual engine setup and forced induction ECUs need to be tuned by an experienced tuner.  If you have Stage 4 and the Pocket Programmer , you can tune stages 2 and 3 for others.

When purchasing a Hondata unit, we offer a base program to get you started.  From there we offer tuning services to help you get the most performance out of your Hondata unit based on individual applications.  Dyno tuning is also available.

Hondata systems: 

  • s100 - this is the entry level system for users who do not wish to tune their vehicle, and don't require additional features such as 3 step rev limiter or datalogging.
  • s200 - this system allows either a Hondata dealer or the user to tune their vehicle, and offers additional features such as launch control and datalogging. 
  • Stage 2/3/4 - the stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4 systems are the traditional Hondata systems.  It is recommended to use the s100 or s200 unless the ECU requires the use of the Stage 2/3/4 system (PR3, PW0 or automatic ECUs require the Stage 2/3/4). 

Each system has a variety of configurations, options and features, some of which are specified when purchasing the unit, others which may be added later on.  For more information, please refer to the Hondata Website.

If you have a staged Hondata system (Stage 2/3/4), and you wish to upgrade to the s100 or s200, here is an upgrade guide.

Stage 3 $475 All stage 2 features plus shift light, VTEC control, three stage rev limiter for drag launch, full throttle shift.
Stage 3b $725 Above with boost option.

 

K20A (RSX) ECU Upgrades

Program Price Description
K20A2-1 $595 Stock VTEC point and stock REV limit.
K20A2-2 $595 5200 VTEC point (necessary if your car has an intake system) and stock REV limit
K20A2-3 $595 Stock VTEC point and 8600 rpm REV limit.
K20A2-4 $595 5200 VTEC point (necessary if your car has an intake system) and 8600 rpm REV limit


Upgrades

Datalogging:  $250 (allows playback of run on laptop, upgrade for stage 2 and 3)

               

Boost:  $300
   
RC injectors:  $375 for set of 4 440cc injectors

Harness Adapter:  $250 (Required for OBDII Cars and newer)
